Aye Pyae Pyae Aung is a PhD candidate in Integrated Science of the Built Environment (ISBE), Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University, Thailand (2023–present). She holds a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (2021–2023), and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Technological University, Mawlamyine, Myanmar (2012–2018). Her research focuses on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for urban sustainability, stormwater and wastewater management, urban water resilience, biogas and waste-to-energy systems, microbial fuel cell applications, and integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) with environmental infrastructure design. She has researched activated sludge dewatering, bioelectricity generation, and urban water quality monitoring, and has experience in modeling and simulation using PCSWMM, InfraWorks, and Civil 3D. She has contributed to multidisciplinary research in Thailand and internationally, with publications in Sustainability and Water Research, and has professional experience as a Sales Engineer (2019–2021) and research assistant at AIT and Thammasat University, focusing on applied urban water and NbS research.
